Liposuction

The injectable product, Kybella (deoxycholic acid), can be used to melt away fat from the chin or submental area. Because it is an injection, multiple treatments will be required. However, the results are long-lasting.

PDO Threads to Rejuvenate your Face and Neck

Thread lifts are a great minimally invasive option if you are looking to rejuvenate and lift your face and neck without surgery. Dr. Richland utilizes an advanced combination of the newest PDO, PLLA, and PCL threads depending on your discussion and goals for the procedure.

Neck Lift

A neck lift is considered the gold standard in neck contouring and is the most powerful procedure to help rejuvenate and recontour the neck and jawline. While it is a surgical procedure, it can be performed in the office under local anesthesia with the patient awake. Additionally, Dr. Richland commonly performs a “platysmaplasty” to further tighten and refine the neck and jawline. Some of our Newport Beach neck lift patients with facial sagging skin or “jowls” may also additionally want to combine their procedure with a facelift to produce dramatic results.

Renuvion Neck Tightening with or without Liposuction

This is Dr. Richland’s preferred treatment for neck contouring and skin tightening in patients with early signs of loose, wrinkly, or crepey neck skin. This one-time minimally invasive treatment leaves long-term dramatic results and can easily be performed in the office.

The best candidates for Renuvion skin rejuvenation and neck tightening are patients in their 30s to 50s who have mild to moderate skin laxity but aren’t quite ready for a full facelift or wish to avoid facelift incisions. Patients who have had a previous neck lift and just need a touch-up would greatly benefit from a Renuvion neck tightening treatment as well.

NECK LIFT RECOVERY

Your recovery is dependent on the procedure performed.

If you had an injectable product used, such as filler, Botox, or Kybella, the downtime is minimal. You can return to your usual activities the next day. While the swelling and bruising is usually very minimal, it may last up to several weeks in some cases. Following Renuvion minimally invasive neck tightening treatment or liposuction, the recovery and downtime are also minimal, but slightly longer than for the injectable products. You will be placed in a soft jaw wrap that will be worn at all times for two to four weeks. The swelling and bruising will last several weeks. After several days of limited activity, you will be able to return to work and your usual routine in about a week. The results are immediately noticeable and will continue to improve over the next three to six months. If you had a surgical neck lift, you will be placed in a soft jaw wrap that will be worn at all times for two to four weeks. The swelling and bruising will last several weeks. After five to seven days of limited activity, you will be able to increase activity and return to work in another one to two weeks. For our Newport Beach neck lift patients, results are immediately noticeable and will continue to improve as the swelling subsides over the next several months.
