First, Dr. Richland will use liposuction to harvest your donor fat from an area of your body where you would like it removed. While you may have only a small amount of fat removed for your procedure, some people choose to incorporate a more significant amount of liposuction into their treatment. After the fat is removed, it is processed and prepared for injection. Lastly, Dr. Richland will carefully inject the fat into the targeted area.

Facial Fat Transfer Recovery
You will likely experience some swelling and bruising after the procedure, but most of our Newport Beach facial fat transfer patients may be able to return to work and social activities in several days. The swelling should subside within a few weeks, revealing your plump, youthful-looking skin. You will need to take it easy for a few days while you heal, though Dr. Richland will provide you with detailed instructions for your recovery.
