Operations Manager
Nghiem is the practice manager for Dr. Brandon Richland and a proud graduate of UCLA. With a background in health administration and experience working in multi-specialty practices, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, pain management, and neurology, he brings a wealth of knowledge and has found the perfect way to blend a love for the sciences with a career dedicated to enhancing healthcare operations.
Now fully immersed in the world of plastic surgery and aesthetics, Nghiem is excited to apply this diverse background to help our practice thrive. When not involved in the intricacies of health administration and KPI reports, he enjoys cheering on UCLA sports (8 clap!), playing basketball, and training for marathons.

He also cherishes family life, which includes his loving partner Maya, two playful black cats named Kuro and Chi, and a lively Maltese named Happy. Known for a "half glass full" attitude, he brings positivity and enthusiasm to every challenge.

Karina is a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator specializing in a wide range of cosmetic plastic procedures including breast augmentation, mommy makeovers, lower face and neck lift, and liposuction. With a strong commitment to helping each patient feel comfortable and informed. Karina excels at guiding patients through their journey from the initial consultation to post-operative care. Her responsibilities include scheduling surgeries, advising on payment options, and addressing any patient questions or concerns.
Known for her empathetic and organized approach, she creates a comfortable and supportive environment for patients throughout their journey. When not immersed in her professional role, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, exploring culinary delights, discovering new music, and indulging in retail therapy.
Sarah Newell
Aesthetic Med Spa Care coordinator
As the Aesthetic MedSpa Patient Care Coordinator, Sarah swapped gears from cars to cosmetic care—and she’s never looked back! With over a decade of experience in sales, finance, and marketing for BMW, she found her true calling in helping people feel fabulous through aesthetic treatments.
It turns out, plastic surgery is way more thrilling than cars (but don’t tell her old BMW colleagues)! When she’s not coordinating care with a smile, you might find her running, sweating it out in hot yoga, planning her next adventure, or getting lost in a book. Driven by a love for her work and her hobbies, Sarah is committed to delivering outstanding results and memorable experiences for everyone she meets at Richland Aesthetics.
Kelle Carthey
Aesthetic Nurse
Kelle is a skilled aesthetic nurse with a two-decade-long nursing career and a passion for helping patients enhance their natural beauty. After spending 12 years in the neonatal ICU and eight years in infusion therapy, Kelle brought her precision and “needle ninja” skills to aesthetic medicine, where she’s spent the last two years mastering the art of lasers, fillers, Botox, medical weight loss, and skincare.
Kelle’s patients love her for her meticulous attention to detail and her warm, honest personality. Known for creating natural, refreshed results, she takes pride in helping her clients look in the mirror and love what they see. With a talent for connecting with patients, Kelle provides a comfortable, welcoming environment and customizes each treatment to bring out her clients’ best.

Outside the office, Kelle enjoys life in its fullest. She’s a mother to four children (ages 25, 18, 18, and 9) and her beloved Bernedoodle, Rufus, who might as well be her fifth. She’s happiest outdoors, spending her free time snowboarding, hiking, scuba diving, or adventuring with her kids. Lake Tahoe holds a special place in her heart as one of her favorite places on Earth.
